The Woven Voices Prize for Playwriting platforms the voices of migrant playwrights in the UK, staging their work in the heart of the West End. Returning for a second year following the success of the inaugural award, the Woven Voices Prize celebrates migrant writers, an underrepresented demographic on British stages. It is a proclamation of a global, multicultural Britain.

Last year, Karina Wiedman won with her ‘open-hearted and moving’ play The Anarchist, which was staged at Jermyn Street Theatre to critical acclaim (★★★★ The Guardian, Best Director and Best Ensemble OffWestEnd Nomination).

This year, we are looking for more outstanding new plays from migrant writers at any stage of their career. Your play does not have to be about migration—all we ask is that it tells an exciting story for the stage.
